INTRODUCTION

Design Decoded 2021 (DD21) is an extension of previous event which it allows participants to present their research, and also will be given an opportunity to exhibit their artwork virtually in cooperation with Jabatan Muzium Negeri Kedah. Thus, it aims for a medium to public and private policy-makers, academician, industry practitioners specifically in the field of art and design to share experiences, knowledge and expertise ranging from concepts, ideas, initiatives, innovatives and development as well as the current challenges in art, design and culture.

Artwork Presentation Format

Artist must submit a 500 words of artwork description in English or Bahasa Malaysia. It must be typed in the template provided on the website.

For best display on screen and in our coffee table book, we have prepared a new set of guidelines. Kindly take note, that the artwork itself are not limited to any sizes. However, since we are only accepting artworks in digital form, your submission files should follow these guidelines:
All artworks should be photographed (for non-digital artworks) OR exported
(digital artworks). The artworks MUST be saved as follows:
- Within A3 size (29.7cm x 42cm)
- Portrait or Landscape
- Resolution (150dpi)
- Two (2) Files (. Tiff AND .PDF)
- Colour Mode (CMYK)
Artworks in VIDEO / MULTIMEDIA files
- Video 1080p (1920 x 1080)
- Duration: Maximum of 5 minutes
- Output Files (MPEG4 / MOV)
